It’s safe to say I wasn’t enough.

Didn’t give you what you wanted,
What you need, what you desired,
Nothing. Wasn’t making you happy,
All we did was argue, can’t even lie
most of it was my fault, but me being
afraid to lose you caused them.

Yes, I gave up, gave up on us,
gave up on you. Happiness wasn’t what
we were feeling, everything but happiness
actually and it wasn’t fair for the both of us.
It’s not okay that I gave up, but I didn’t see anything else to fight for.
You weren’t happy, I wasn’t happy
And all the blame was put on me …
What does that say?

First I was too insecure, then I’m too self-centered,
And I still don’t understand that, but I’ll just accept it.
My number one goal was to make you happy
And I wasn’t doing that.
Every relationship has its ups and downs,
But ours had more downs than ups.

We shared beautiful moments, memories I will cherish forever,
And I hope you never forget me.
Wish you nothing, but the best cause you deserve it,
But I deserve more too.
Hope you find a girl that’s everything you want & need,
I just hope that through it all, you remember there was once
A girl who would kill and die for you,
Who was gonna ride for you & hold you down,
Who wanted nothing more than to be with you
and even though she gave up, she’ll always love you.

There was nothing else to fight for, the flame had died out
I rather let you go than keep you there unhappy and miserable.
